Ruaille-Buaille?

[eng] Ruaille-Buaille is a folk music sextet who play their own compositions and a fusion of music from different parts of the world: Ireland, Scotland, England, Galicia, the Basque County and the USA... The name, pronounced ‘rula bula’, can be translated into English as fuss or a noisy atmosphere (the derivation of the term hurley-burley), and reflects something of their lively concerts where they play a mixture of traditional tunes and songs and their own compositions ranging from foot-tapping jigs and reels to the melancholy of the typical Irish ballads. Current members are Aitor Gorostiza (whistles, flutes, harmonica, didgeridoo, alboka), Alberte Sanmartín (Galician and uilleann pipes, tin and low whistles), Duncan Bennett (acoustic guitar, vocals), Jon Hanni Iribar (drums), Kike Pérez (fiddle, bodhrán, guimbarda) and Luis M. Aveleira ‘Beltza’ (bass). They have published two CD's: "/'ru:lə'bu:lə/ (Pronounced Rula-Bula)" (2009) and "Blue Jig" (2011).

[spa] Ruaille-Buaille es un sexteto de música folk que interpreta temas propios y otros basados en la fusión de músicas tradicionales de distinto origen geográfico, tales como Irlanda, Escocia, Inglaterra, Galicia, Euskadi y EEUU. El nombre, un vocablo gaélico que se pronuncia "rula-bula", puede ser traducido al castellano como bullicio o algarabía, y describe perfectamente el ambiente desenfadado que el grupo crea en sus conciertos, eso sí, sin renunciar a temas o baladas de aire reposado y nostálgico. Actualmente integran su formación los músicos Aitor Gorostiza (tin & low whistles, flautas, armónica, didgeridoo, alboka), Alberte Sanmartín (tin & low whistles, gaita gallega, uilleann pipe), Duncan Bennett (voz, guitarra acústica), Jon Hanni Iribar (batería), Kike Pérez (violín, bodhrán, guimbarda) y Luis M. Aveleira "Beltza" (bajo eléctrico). Han publicado dos CD hasta ahora: "/'ru:lə'bu:lə/ (Pronounced Rula-Bula)" (2009) y "Blue Jig" (2011).

Taldearen izena —burrundara algaratsua irlanderaz— “rula-bula” ahoskatzen da eta emanaldietako giro alaia azaltzen du, taldeak kantu lasaiak eta hunkigarriak ere egin arren.
